Peoria Accelerated's STEM Club recently participated in the 2K16 El Dorado Leadership Conference in partnership with the Arizona State University Sustainability Department on Friday, Feb. 26. The conference featured many different workshops to support students with their futures in science and leadership. Students participated in seminars and competitions designed to enhance students’ leadership skills and awareness of careers in the fast-growing field of sustainability. Six students attended with Ms. Ramirez and three of them placed in the Public Speaking competition. Congratulations to 1st place winner Presley-Shea Chandler, 2nd place winner Jaylon Keiser, and 3rd place winner Nick Moreno!

Bulldog Pride traveled to Discover U to celebrate Valentines Day with their Bulldog Buddies on Friday, February 12th. Bulldog Buddies is a mentorship program between high school students, ranging from 9th-12th grades, and Ms. Schroeder's Kindergarten class of 22 students. Bulldog Pride helped their buddies write a Valentine's Day poem, finger paint to make a friendship heart using each of their hand prints, and pass out valentines.
February 5th, 2016 marked the end of an era at Peoria Accelerated High School. For the past 11 years Marcus Englund has been a part of PAHS, most recently serving as served as the principal of PAHS. On to new challenges, he will be working with our school's corporate office, The Leona Group, to help other high schools around the valley. Amanda Bachler has transitioned into the role of school leader. Mrs. Bachler has been at Peoria Accelerated since August of 2006 where she has served as an teacher and the Instructional Support Specialist. She is excited to continue all the good things Mr. Englund put into place at our school.
