I am originally from Michigan and moved to Arizona 10 years ago. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan - Flint, with a BA degree double majoring in Anthropology and Biology, with a minor in History. I attended graduate school at Western Michigan University in the Anthropology/Archaeology Masters degree program and the History Masters degree program. After teaching as a graduate teaching assistant, I completed the post-baccalaureate degree program, with a BA double major in History and Secondary Education, with a minor in Social Science. I taught at Kalamazoo Central High School from 2001 to 2004 and then Loy Norix High School (also in Kalamazoo) for the 2004-2005 school year. I was hired by Peoria Accelerated High School and moved across country to Arizona in 2006 to teach at Peoria Accelerated High School in first the History department and now the Science department.
