My name is Mr. Jim Conner and this is my first year teaching at Peoria Accelerated High School. This is my 4th year teaching and every year provides me various new experiences for to learn from and better myself as a teacher. I am very excited to be teaching the CBE (Computer Based Education) Classes and want you to know that my goal is to help you become successful. I am a cheerleader for students, families and staff here at PAHS.
I started figuring out things later in life, I dropped out of high school in 11th grade and had to work very hard to get my life and purpose figured out.
I graduated from Grand Canyon University in 2012 with a M.Ed. Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Technology as well as a BS in Software Engineering in 2001 from The University of Advancing Technology. I worked 16 plus years in IT for such companies as APS, Avnet, Coolidge Unified School District as well as had my own Technology Consulting Firm for 7 years.
My wife and I have been married for 24 years this year and we have 2 daughters age 20 and 23. I attend Christ Church of the Valley as well have an online Christian Radio station and am a Licensed and Ordained Minister. I am a Teacher For Life now that I have chosen this as my career, I just wish I had figured this career path years ago. I look forward to working with our students this year and beyond.
