The PAHS STEM Club spent Block 4 building and eventually launching their very own rockets. After researching and investigating various techniques, they successfully designed and built 2 rockets, all from simple materials such as PVC pipe, epoxy, and a tablecloth. Though both launched well, one had parachute problems and the other melted from the heat. The club is excited to refine their plans and start next again next year.

The Peoria Accelerated students and staff just completed the annual Block 4 Key Club Water Bottle Drive. This year we pulled together to donate over 5000 bottles to the Peoria Fire Department. The water will be used in relief efforts this summer for the homeless, fire victims, and law enforcement working the the grueling heat. Additionally, Mrs. McClanahan's Science Fiction 2 class won the 3rd period competition, earning them an ice cream party sponsored by EZSTOR. The PAHS Key Club thanks you all for another successful service event for our community.
![]() Peoria Accelerated Key Club would like to thank the PA students and community for participation in the on-campus blood drives this year. We have held 4 successful blood drive where nearly 150 students stepped up and donated blood, potentially saving 500 lives. It's such a small thing, yet so important! As a result of the generosity of the donors, Key Club exceeded their year-long donation goal by 126% and have been awarded a 2015-2016 Platinum Award by United Blood Services. They were recognized at a Arizona Diamondback's game on April 27th. Go Bulldogs! |
