Beginning next Tuesday 11/12/13, Key Club will be running a canned food drive in support of St. Mary’s Food Bank. The food bank is in great need of high protein foods including potatoes, canned meats, beans (dried or canned), etc. Ramen noodle, although cheap, is not in high need. It would be wonderful if you could support our efforts to help feed those in need this busy holiday season by encouraging your 3rd period students to donate. They can bring their donations to your class, and a Key Club member will be by daily to collect and count. The winning 3rd hour will receive a pizza party. The drive actually ends on Monday, November 25.
Thank you in advance for your support, Megan Milmine Key Club

![]() Peoria Accelerated's Key Club recently volunteered at Kids' Day at the Fair, an amazing event which gives special needs children from all over the valley an opportunity to attend the Arizona State Fair. Each child was assigned a volunteer to be their "fair buddy," as they rode rides, visited the petting zoo, and made their way to lunch. Nearly 4,000 guests attended the successful event. ![]() Peoria Accelerated High School celebrated Red Ribbon Week on October 28th through the 31st. Our students took surveys and gave pledges to keep drug and alcohol free. They also participated in daily lunch activities to promote healthy activity options for them. Our students had a basketball bump-out and played musical chairs. All of our students enjoyed the week, either by participating in the activities or by simply watching and enjoying their school mates participation. Our students now proudly wear their red wristbands as a pledge to remain drug free. |
